How fresh is the data?

Solarflare is built on continuous network testing. Weekly delivery is standard, and every record includes first_seen and last_seen so your models can weight recent signals differently from older ones. Custom cadence is available by agreement.

How does Solarflare differ from MaxMind, IPinfo, or other IP intelligence vendors?

It's complementary, not a replacement. Solarflare adds a fresh observed-behaviour dimension — has this IP recently appeared in proxy infrastructure? — that static IP databases tend to lag on. Most teams run both alongside each other.

What does the confidence score actually mean?

Confidence (low / medium / high) reflects how many independent observations support the signal, how recent they are, and how cleanly the IP's behaviour matches proxy infrastructure patterns. Low-confidence is good for step-up verification; high-confidence is safe for hard blocks.

Do you reveal which underlying provider an IP came from?

No. The useful signal is whether an IP has been observed behaving like proxy infrastructure — not naming the underlying source. This keeps Solarflare focused on what's actionable for your risk decisions.

How is the dataset delivered?

The standard plan provides recurring access to CSV or JSONL files through a secure download workflow. Weekly delivery is the default. Enterprise customers can scope a different cadence, format, or packaging model.

Can I match the data against historical IP logs?

Yes. Load each delivery into your warehouse, database, SIEM, or enrichment pipeline and join it against historical IP activity. For evaluation, you can also send a sample list and receive a structured match report.

How does Solarflare handle privacy and legal context?

Solarflare exposes an observational signal about IP addresses. Product responses do not include names, account credentials, or end-user attribution, and IP addresses may be personal data in some jurisdictions. Customer agreements include acceptable-use commitments. Privacy and terms documents are linked in the footer.
